Steven’s first real job was selling original art created by naturalist masters in the era of John James Audubon via live and telephone auctions in Potomac Maryland.

Still early in his career, he went on to parlay that high ticket, high touch experience into enterprise software sales, and from there moving on to business brokerage to get immersive experience and education in all of the combined elements and moving parts that fuel a running business, and how to actually market and sell entire businesses.

Now a three time founder, Steven has an expansive knowledge base that straddles sales enablement, digital business/marketing strategy, SaaS, and Mergers and Acquisitions. He is also a sought after content writer and loves to help thriving entrepreneurs build even better businesses to attract smart money or to optimize their exits.

Van Tucker

CTO + Partner

Van has been a technologist and entrepreneur for his entire professional life, from an early project in his teens building an online platform for his buddy’s biking adventures to working with well known celebrities and brands to build digital platforms which typically turn into money machines or big dollar acquisitions.

Having been a serial entrepreneur and a highly sought after resource to build complex, high performance digital engines for others, Van decided to focus his talents and expertise inward, and to build a company that still provides all of the aforementioned services, only this time inside a model designed specifically to help entrepreneurs build better companies, not just technology platforms.

Brittany Gamboa

Director of Business Development

Brittany has been instrumental in delivering exceptional results and metrics for the companies she has been associated with including a Reno based family owned casino property that was losing a quarter million dollars per year through food and beverage operations and developed a new business model incorporating a banquet and outside catering program bringing in $1.5M per year. Brittany is a prized addition to the Lassen Ventures team roster, where she will working closely with the local business community here in Reno in her role of new business development oversight and relationship management.

Diane Dye Hansen

Advisor + Management Consultant

Diane has been at the forefront of transforming companies for the last 20 years. Companies on her resume include The Press-Enterprise (sold to Belo Corp for $27 million) and FUNimation Entertainment (sold to Sony Entertainment for $143 million). Her multi-industry experience spans SaaS, publishing, entertainment, professional services, government, healthcare, and consumer products. Diane utilizes research, internal communication strategy, and process development to reshape companies and position them for reorganization, expansion, growth, and sale. She has helped more than 300 Owner/Operators and C-Level leaders do the inner and outer work necessary to be successful. She specializes in utilizing challenging situations to create innovation in companies.

Diane has a Masters in Communication Management from the University of Southern California where she graduated as an inductee of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. She has a High Performance Masters from the High Performance Institute, is a Certified Problem and Change Manager, and is a Certified Customer Success Management Consultant.

Sean Lee

Senior Advisor

As a Senior Advisor to Lassen Ventures, Sean provides guidance to Lassen clients with creative and flexible solutions that address the issues specific to their businesses. This provides companies with alternatives to make logical and informed decisions regarding the most beneficial time and structure under which to execute a transaction or paths to funding. Whether the goal is to optimize specific long-term growth objectives, achieve liquidity through a sale of the company, acquire assets or source capital, he provides the guidance to successfully achieve these goals.

Sean is Managing Partner of Truthan Towers, a M&A and Capital Markets Advisory Firm. Sean is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the firm. He is responsible for the development of transaction sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and working with privately and publicly held companies. Additionally, Sean develops and maintains relationships with investors both private and institutional. Sean has participated in transactions across a wide variety of industries including: specialty chemicals, aerospace and defense, biotech, cannabis, oil and gas, mining, food, real estate, CPG, fintech and licensed products.

Prior to founding Truthan Towers, Sean served as a Vice President at Castle Crow where he was responsible for developing and initiating new platform investments and acquisition opportunities. While at Castle Crow, he worked on developing investments in a wide range of industries to include: healthcare, CPG, manufacturing and software/technology.

During his time at Castle Crow, he was directly responsible for the add-on acquisition of Cliplight to DiversiTech a portfolio company of The Jordan Company, the platform investment of Robinson Aviation to Alta Equity Partners, and the platform investment of BioCare Medical by Excellere Partners. To date Sean has been responsible for over $300M in transaction value.

At Lassen Ventures, our whole team understands the value of relationships over the more prevalent model of “servicing the client” from afar. We understand that as of 2020 we are living in a new time, perhaps temporarily, perhaps permanently.

Regardless, we still highly value the in person dynamic that elevates relationships, synergy and work product. We will respect the directives and protocols, especially the ones our clients implement internally. If you prefer to work with us remotely, no problem, but we will never say no to arranging a face to face.
